Delete your account and data
Last updated: 2026-09-25
This page explains how to delete your Trendshot account and the data attached to it. You do not need to sign in to read it.
The app
Trendshot, published by Better Life With Apps.
How to request deletion
In the app: open Settings, scroll down to Your data, tap Delete my data and confirm. The app then clears the data it kept on your device and queues the account for deletion; from that moment the account can no longer be used.
To delete a single result instead of the whole account, delete it from your history in the app. Its picture, its share videos and the photos only it used are deleted from our servers.
By email: if you can no longer open the app — because you have uninstalled it, for instance — write to privacy@blwapps.com from any address and tell us:
- that you want your Trendshot account and its data deleted;
- whether you used the app on iOS or Android;
- if you bought a subscription or a credit pack, the App Store or Google Play order number for it.
Trendshot accounts carry no name and no email address, so an email address on its own is usually not enough for us to find your record. A store order number is the most reliable way for us to locate the account. If you cannot supply anything that identifies it, we may not be able to act on the request — not because we are refusing it, but because there is nothing linking the request to a specific record. Without a request, your photos, results and videos are still deleted 30 days after each trend was started.
Once we can identify the account, we revoke your access and delete the account. The result is the same as deleting it in the app.
What gets deleted
Your access is revoked as soon as the request is accepted. After a short safety delay, we remove:
- the files stored for you in our object storage — your selfies, any photo of you as a child you added, and the pictures and share videos made for you;
- the inputs kept with your trends;
- the push token that lets us send you notifications;
- your recorded consent choices;
- your billing identity — the identifier that connects your account to your purchases.
The safety delay exists so that an accidental or disputed deletion can still be stopped. We do not publish its exact length here, because it is set in our systems and can change.
What is kept
- A non-identifying tombstone. A minimal record showing that an account with that internal identifier existed and was deleted. It carries no personal data and cannot be used to identify you.
- Audit evidence of the deletion itself. Proof that the request was made and carried out, which is what lets us demonstrate that we honoured it.
- Records of your trends and files. Which trend ran, when and how it ended, and the type and size of each deleted file. The inputs and the files themselves are removed.
- Reports you made about a result, under the closed account’s random ID, so that a review can be finished.
- Purchase and credit records. Which subscription or credit packs you bought and when, and your credit balance and its history, kept so that refunds and store disputes can still be settled. Apple or Google, and RevenueCat, which processes purchases for us, keep their own records of your purchases; deleting your account does not remove them.
- Database backups. A backup is made every day and the newest 14 are kept, so a copy of your account record can remain in a backup for about two weeks. Photos, pictures and videos are not in them.
- Records under a documented legal hold. If a specific legal obligation requires us to preserve something, a documented legal hold can pause the deletion until that obligation ends. Barring such a hold, deletion proceeds normally.
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Credits left in your account are lost when the account is deleted, and deleting it does not produce a refund; refunds are handled by the store, as described in the Terms of Use.
If you have already uninstalled the app
Reinstalling the app on the same phone or tablet normally reconnects you to the same account. The app keeps an identifier for your installation that survives removal: on iPhone and iPad it is stored in the iOS keychain, and on Android it is derived from an ID the system assigns to the app on that device.
Uninstalling does not delete anything by itself. To have the record deleted, delete it in the app after reinstalling, or send the request described above.
Other privacy requests
Deletion is one of several rights you have. You can also ask for access to your data, correction, restriction, portability, or to object to processing. Write to privacy@blwapps.com. The Privacy Policy explains what we hold and why.
